Message Finnally got home from work. Hope this is not to late.

1) Use caution as you are dealing with the fuel system. Don't turn your Z into a big Carna Asada grill!!

2) Use a Dremel with a bit like AztecTT listed above

3) Attach a shop vac to the plenum to collect shavings (this really works!!). You can grind quite a bit (~3/8"+ at the maximum is what I did and no sign of breaking through)

4) Use some Liquid Wrench or equivalent on the screws to losen them up (Actually, do this before #3 above).

5) If a screw begins to strip, STOP. Grind a little more in necessary. Do something differently. You do not want to strip the screws.

6) Use an impact driver if you have one ($20-$25 at Sears). Careful with the impact driver. One false strike can strip a screw. The correct strike will save your day, though.

7) Once you get the metal cap off, use some more liquid wrench, or equivalent, on the injector (o-ring area) to loosen it. After the LW has had time to work, twist the injector to make it spin a little (+/- 45 degrees to either side). Some vice grips help here.

8) THIS WILL DESTROY INJECTOR: Break of plastic cap, if necessary. Attach vice grips tube around metal pin on injector. There is the pin with the little T shaped top and then a metal tube it is inserted into. Try to grab the tube. Once vice grips are in place securely, place a pry bar (the spare tire iron worked well) in the vice grips where the jaws meet. Leverage the bar agains the plenum and pull the vice grips strait up. This should pop the now destroyed injector out.

9) Careful not to drop anything (especially debris from destroyed injector/grinding) in the hole)

10) Use some vasiline on the new injector O-rings to help lube them and get the injector seated. Use the flat part (tip)of the jaws of some stubby pliars or vice grips to push the injector strait down.

11) Get some cap head hex screws to replace the crappy philips screws Nissan provided. They are metric (of course), so they are a little harder to find. Home Depot does carry them, but there are better places to purchase them.

12) When you start car, have hood open. Start car (preferably with a friend watching the injector area) and immediately check for fuel leaks. Obviously, stop car if any leaks are detected.

Good luck!!
